About Us: Alan Steele

Alan has taught in the Washington, D.C. area for the past 10 years and is an accomplished Rhythm and Smooth dancer. These two dance styles comprise respectively the American version of the cha cha, swing, rumba, bolero, and mambo (the Rhythm dances) and the American version of the waltz, tango, foxtrot, and Viennese waltz (the Smooth dances.) He has also nicely enhanced several of the studio's recent showcases with stylized formation choreography in the waltz, West Coast Swing, and Argentine tango.

Alan received his Associate level degree, with honors, in the American Smooth from the ISTD, the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing, in 2009. The ISTD is the world's leading dance examinations board. His 10 years of teaching experience, from teaching new students to coaching experienced dancers, has helped his students of all ages and levels achieve their dance goals.
