About Us: Michele Kearney

Michele has been dancing since the age of 4 and, in addition to being an accomplished Smooth, Rhythm, Lindy Hop, and salsa dancer, has studied and taught ballet, jazz, modern, and tap. She received her B.F.A in Dance from Shenandoah College and Conservatory of Music and continued her studies at the Martha Graham School of Dance in New York City. Martha Graham is universally understood to be the twentieth century's most important dancer, and the mother of modern dance. Michele received her Associate level degree, with honors, in Theatre Arts from the ISTD, the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing, in 2008 and received both her Associate degree in the American Rhythm and her Associate degree in the American Smooth in 2009. The ISTD is the world's leading dance examinations board.

Michele’s lifetime of dance, combined with her 13 years of teaching experience, has helped her students of all ages and levels achieve their dance goals. Whether it’s taking your first tentative steps on a dance floor, learning to dance at your wedding, or working on competitive dancing, Michele’s investment in her own dance education has prepared her to assist you every step of the way.
