Monthly Series

Each Level I or II class, offered on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, and each Salsa I or II class, offered on Monday, will begin in the first week of the month and are taught as a series. Depending on the number of weeks in the month, it will either be a 4-week series or a 5- week series. Except for Salsa, which repeats every month, dances taught in the classes will rotate with each new monthly series. Visit our Class Schedule for a list of all dances and classes.

Dances taught on Friday at 8:15 will rotate weekly and are not taught as a series. This class is quite suitable for beginners and is designed to give the student an introduction to partner dancing within the context of a variety of dances. The Friday class can also be joined with the weekly 9:00 Dance Party for additional savings.

The Saturday morning 9:30 Dance Connections class is based on the Luigi Jazz technique. It stresses the internalization of movement rather than ballroom dancing itself and helps to develop the connection between the muscles in order to create better posture and alignment and subsequently better movement. The first half of the class emphasizes the different exercises. In the second half of the class they are performed to music. Lastly, we apply some of these principles to techniques within the different ballroom dances. It is a drop-in class and is not taught as a series.
